My story

During my sophomore year of high school in Santa Barbara, CA, I came to the realization that I wanted a more independent and enriched educational path. In pursuit of this goal, I made the decision to transfer from my local public high school to a unique dual-enrollment program known as Middle College.

Middle College offered a perfect blend of independent study and full-time classes at Santa Barbara City College. This environment allowed me to truly flourish and discover my potential. What I loved most was the diverse community of students, mentors, and facilitators who played an instrumental role in nurturing my curiosity and critical thinking abilities.

My experience at Middle College and Santa Barbara City College was truly transformative, as it allowed me to develop into an independent and intellectually curious individual. The supportive environment and the diverse range of opportunities ignited my passion for continuous learning, paving the way for my eventual transfer to the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA) in 2021, where I was fortunate to receive a full scholarship.

After completing my studies at UCLA, I earned my Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) and English as a Second Language (ESL) certificate from the International TEFL Academy (ITA). With this certification in hand, I'm fully equipped to assist students from diverse backgrounds, addressing their unique learning requirements. My primary aim is to play a constructive role as an educator, arming students with the knowledge and motivation they need to thrive in their academic pursuits.
